MY LOVE FOR YOU

MY LOVE FOR YOU

Generations have passed, generations will pass
Never will this feeling go scarce
From Monday's confessions through Sunday's mass
Here in my heart you sit as though on grass
Not till i see Everest vanish in a blast
Will my love for you cease to be steadfast
In height, it stands above the record of masts
Just too bright to cast a shadow
Briskly burning without a bellow
Ever blazing and even pacific wouldn't swallow
So is my love for thee
Who unto me gave salvation free

Everyone on earth 'loves' someone or something. Individuals love each other; parents love their children, and vice versa. Most of us, at least 'love' the objects of our wishes, desires or fantasies. We love our hobbies and favorite sports. Any animal loves its food a tyrant loves power; the sexual pervert loves his thrills, a brutal killer loves killing and the list goes on. Whether you are a believer or a non-believer Love exists and can't be denied. Thanks for sharing your words of love. LOL, BDC

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
