My Own Mind

Did I tell you how much I love you?
Let me show you how much I care.
I am someone to content with so world----Beware!

It was something someone showed me. It was the way I was taught.
I wasn't born into it. I wasn't the brainwashed kind. I eventually had to seek the main source about this religion thing.  I had to make up my own mind.

Bombarded by doctrines, philosophies, and principles of man.
Bound by family traditions, pagan rituals, and celebrations of sin.
What priority do they take with me having a relationship with Christ.
To what extent do they fit in? There has to be more going through the motions in life.

Foolish notions, false humility, worshipping santas, rabbits and top hats.
Tell me again, What priority were they when Christ lived and spread the gospel?
Something has to give because that's wacked.
My focus is to pay things forward for a life of righteousnous in eternity.
God's word is a lampost to my path and that's  that.

Accept Christ out of love and devotion and die to false principles of this world.
That same invitation goes out to every man, woman, and child for sure.
Christ died for us and then rose again in time. You have a chance to believe this truth and make it in line.

He said follow his teachings and drink of his living water until you are full.
Live yourselves a simple, God-fearing life, and see what the Bible has in store.
Christ said take his yoke and follow him, walk in his footsteps---he Rules.

Old Testament laws were once upheld for sure.
Christ said the new way to salvation is to Love God,  family, and neighbors in truth.
The Bible is God's authoritive word from the beginning of time.
It never changed, he never lies.
I have given my witness and made up my own mind.
