    My Suicide

     Dear mom and dad,
    please forgive me:
    this was something
    I just had to do.
    The pain of failure
    has become to much
    to accept each time
    I have failed you.
    Alone on this road
    I have traveled,
    without a guiding light:
    and even with you holding my hand-
    I cannot see beyond this night.
    My friends are few if any,
    I have no tears
    left to cry.
    All I want is my freedom
    an end to this torturous life.
    When I am gone
    please do not mourn-
    this pain lies only within.
    Do not blame yourself
    for how could you know
    what I did not let show-
    nor save what
    should never be?
    One other thing I will say,
    my parting words to you-
    never regret
    the time we have spent
    together, for I love you.
    It is time to finish
    what I have begun,
    perhaps one day
    we will meet again.
    And this time around
    I will make you proud
    and be the child
    you so wanted of me.

    Wow, an intensely personal write and so full of despair. I am in sad tears for your pain. I understand your emotions, feelings of unworthiness and disappointment in yourself and letting down your parents. The joy in life comes from finding the strength to rise above these desperate emotions and press on. It will get better. There is hope and you are not the only one that has felt this way. Don"t give up. Good expression in our words, keep writing. Let it all out, it will free you.

    I have two daughters, and have in the back of my mind, a hope that this would never be a decision they would ever commit to. Moving sadness, like the current of a brook, slowly flowing by.

    omg....im in tears....this is how i feel right now. Its like my parents and friends (few of them) dont even understand me. :') thnk you....for writing this. it really spoke to me

    wow this almost made me cry . It is so sad when a young person takes their own life because of the cruel way life brings them down . I wish strength to all youth ... now more han ever they need it . good job
