Poem Commentary

A Glimpse of my middle school/ Early High School years where I didn't know Christ and the power of unconditional love and forgiveness.

No Key

Let me show you what's inside.
What's really going on, and,
Why I want to hide.

A Fear that made me heartbroken,
Mostly unspoken, held in...
that's why I am so mixed up with emotions

In my thoughts it boils and toils
taking sanity's place
turning me against myself from the inside out

Slowly my heart still somehow beats
as memories I hate come back and creep,
with sharp, haughty, hating teeth.

Ready to devour every hour of those nights
I can't sleep from the battle of purging those thoughts.
Thoughts of enough hatred with an  evil twist,
to make a boy cut his wrists
drowning and falling into his mind,
a boy who felt so lonely inside...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
