No More

Few words are spoken,
Yet again my heart is broken,
Done asking why,
And I just simply refuse to cry,

I'll bury my pain inside,
Lock it away in that box within,
Never again let it see the light of day,
Or ever again show upon my skin,

No more tears,
Or screams,
Done wallowing,
In yesterday's dreams,

You did break my heart,
Once again,
But I'm done with it,
No more pain,

I'm numb to it,
And numb to you,
I did love you but never again,
Will you break me and make me blue,

 This is me stepping forward,
And moving on,
I don't need you anymore,
So please stay gone...

Well I'm not about to let him keep hurting me over and over

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
