No Stone Thrown

Poem Commentary

I was inspired by the controversy of Eddie Long and other issues within the Church... We have to stop talking the talk and beginning walking the walk... Where is God in your life and can others see Him?

No Stone Thrown

Ye without sin
cast the first stone
listen to the tone

YE WITHOUT SIN
CAST THE FIRST STONE
but no stone is thrown...

Wonder why
we don't comply
a choice to live
we choose to die
then to rely
or trust
that no change
brings death to us

a world compelled
to wills and wont's
a child is raised
with dos and don'ts
wrongs or rights
why do believers
continue the fight
when they contribute
to the plight
scriptures says:
"like a thief in the night"

It's the Word of God
that's compromised
The Word of God
we can't deny
If the Word of God
will glorify
then why
live blind
revelations clearly defines
the ending of time

open your eyes
to see
the leaves are fallen
from the tree
Believers believe
in what they see
Sin consuming
Christianity

A life of faith
is frowned upon
but faith in life
is gone

if man succumbs to sin
don't you know
the devil wins
So I say it again

YE WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE
listen to the tone

I want to live
to see
AT LEAST
ONE STONE THROWN!

Though I'm irreligious, I've found this piece to be quite universal, applicable to all. Good Stuff, I always enjoy reading your work. -Ming

Grace without judgment is a meaningless abstraction. Yet, I am sensing you are more interested in the power of grace to lift above the humanity's penchant for sinning and be a witness to being preserved blameless unto the day of our Lord's appearing. then the "stone" of judgement will be certain to be righteous, not hypocritical. Thought provoking, Harv

I know that I will never live to see one stone thrown but the basis was to say I would like to see more believers, followers, leaders give more attention to living in the light of God then judging each other... Change needs to happen NOW, if it is not already to late... Thank you for such a lovely comment.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
