  • To achieve success in anything you need to start with a dream. Know your dream. Know why you are doing what you are doing. Create the fire that's needed to connect you with your dream. Create the passion you need in your pursuit of success. Create a desire to reach your achievements. Success can be yours if you have the courage to try..May your wishes all come true and they can it's all up to you

Poem Commentary

There are times when your fingers quit working and your mind goes blank, this is one of those times. Even the writer in me is lost in the shadows.

Grandma

I know if Grandma was here she'd wish you happiness and good cheer.

*********************************

Outside the snow was falling and icicles  cascaded down the window panes. Yes I remember and to that memory I happily sing a song of refrains. We the children would dance and sing and laughter rang out in joyful cries. It was grandma’s day for storytelling and her heart would sing so cheery and bright. She’d tell us children how the turkey was got and we listened intently with delight. Outside the snow was falling and icicles cascaded down the window panes. We the children would dance and sing and laughter rang out in joyful cries. I remember the wonderful aroma of the turkey and dressing and fresh bake pies. The special little treats of ice cream and candy and all the kisses, hugs and sighs. Grandma was old fashion and prepared for Thanksgiving the traditional way. I remember as a small child the thanksgiving tables a wondrous display. The day was magical and brought the whole family together in spite of the weather. My memory hears feels and tastes the glorious splendor of being together. I remember we put up the Christmas tree and decorated it with colored lights, silver cicles and sugar canes. Yes I remember and to that memory I happily sing a song of refrains.

A Song Refrains

The season turns from colored leaves to falling snow.

Halloweens past its Thanksgiving at last.

We are off to Grandmas and moving fast.

In the distance you can hear grandma singing

She’s singing a very old refrain

Over and over and over again.

We are all squished in to the old model T

Speeding 25 miles an hour

Daddy has to show the old T’s power

Off in the distance Grandma’s voice sustains

She’s still singing those old refrains

Over and over and over again.

All of a sudden Daddy hits a big pump.

And we’re all thrown out, humpty dump.

All except mommy she’ s in the rumble seat.

And in the distance grandmas refrain repeats

Over and over and over again.

Now we all get back in the old model T

Mommy still in the rumble seat you see.

The rest of us squished close as can be.

No one was hurt and grandmas still singing.

Now it’s Happy Thanksgiving

Over And Over And Over Again
Over And Over And Over Again
Over And Over And Over Again
