    NONSENSE RHYME

    July 27, 1988
    I've always wanted
    To be a poet,
    But my efforts
    Really don't show it.
    I know how
    To make words rhyme,
    But so far, I'm just
    Waisting time.
    Maybe I should
    Write blank verse,
    But I am sure
    It would be worse.
    So if you think,
    I am a poet,
    Well, tell me now,
    So I can know it.

Perhaps ‘tis but a verse……. but not a nonsense rhyme……. a question but so terse……. sounds like a lovely chime……. should I tell so you’ll know it……. before my comment’s done?....... How can you be a poet……. when you’re already one!

Thank you so very much Zaph. Love your comment in verse and rhyme. It was quite charmming. Hey, Zeph, why don't you show all of your face? Oh well, I guess the other side, looks just like this side that you are showing. LOL

I do! You have a gift, no need to wonder, my heart you lift. You are a poet dear, a child of God also, so remember to write when your high or too low. I've loved your stuff, I'd read your book, with rhythm and rhyme girl, you can cook! Write on....

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
