Poem Commentary

About how it is....relationships sometimes feel this way. Communication is complicated.

there you go again

just walking out

have a ciggy

blow it all off

why should I care

what did you say

I thought I heard

you say something

but maybe

you never did

and it was just a

a splinter

of tiny hope

that it could

be real

but nope

just imagination

the wind

squeak of the door

just my mind

Cool, well it sounds like you liked it. I am glad it had some impact. Thank you..

Sounds like a vent from both sides of contention and very candid! I like the breadth of deduction to discern what may be hope for reconciliation through the images set before the reader! a nice little tiff that possesses a cuteness. Applause Building!!

Mars, Thanks for that nice compliment- I was a bit frustrated and that element certainly was the brooding emotion behind the poem. -

I think everyone has these same thoughts at one time or another. This captures those momentary feelings and emotions beautifully. It can be very frustrating. Thanks for putting it all into poetic words for posterity and clarity...Kevin.

Kevin, thanks for that compliment- I was frustrated when I wrote this and it feels good to know the sentiment came through. ;-)

jake, How we become disillusioned when one escapes our hold and resorts to escapism. Your description of this occurence is oh so real. ginga

You got it exactly, it's what happens when communication breaks down completely. TY

i love the erratic, spastic form here, it really shows the thought process well. great topic too, quite relatable. good job, keep writing!

Thanks for reading many on my page, I do appreciate that very much, and your words of encouragement.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
