    This is it.
     The one and only chance I get to turn away,
     to go back into the light.
     full of popcorn and kisses, laughter and truth.
     My shadow is receding,
     I'm swallowing the dark.
     A blanket of night to wrap around me,
     keeping everything out.
     I don't have anything.

     I don't have anything.

     I don't have anything you might want.
     I will lie to you. I will push you away.
    I don't know what I'm doing,
     but I have a plan of brick and mortar.
     She promised me that I could be alone,
     an alone I can't quite grasp.
     I'm chasing shadows in a pitch black midnight.
     I take it back; I'm stuck.

    Chasing shadows is probably easier than chasing angels, since shadows can't fly :P. I know, shut up, dork. All kidding aside, this, like all of your poems is intellectually superior to my own. :) I love your poetry, every time you put pen to paper, you bless the world with something wonderful. I'd love to have your talent:)

    Very true, but these shadows are no angels, believe me. UGH but it's not! I can go and grab any of your poems ('cept maybe the pervy ones, that is xD) and find it way better than any of mine. More mature writing, you have. Angsty teen brooding, IIII have. But still, thanks for those words, angel, they made me smile(:
