    Poem Commentary

    I'm sure glad 'they' gave this disorder a name... I was beginning to think it was just plain ME!!! :D

    ~*~O.C.D.-3~*~

      

    O Lord, “I just can’t stop…”

    Spending money, wasting my time

    Never enough, I’m over-the-top

    A buck may’s well be a dime!

     

    Shopping sites, online~galore

    Clickin’ here ‘n looking there

    Trying hard to log off! “No more!”

    So much to see, it’s everywhere!

     

    Eye candy sparkling for me to see

    My finger scrolls, rapidly clicking

    Oh! Look, I want that! That’s for me!

    Flustering, my heart’s swiftly ticking!

     

    Can’t you see?!, my own will’s departed?

    Struck with O.C.D., I “must have” another gadget

    Helpless ~ hopelessly involved, closed-hearted

    ODC, it’s freakin’ me out! Lord, MAKE me stop it!

    Zep, Yes this world of consumerism is stated clearly in this poem of buy, buy, buy! It used to be we bought things we needed to survive in life and banked the rest of our money. Most of the gadgets end up in a yard sale anyhow. LOL! ginga
