    On Angel's Wings

     Dane came to us on angel's wings,
    Softly, one early morn.
    Dark shadows blushing over him,
    The day that he was born.

    But, the Father breathed a gentle sigh,
    And held out his mighty hand,
    To bless him, to keep him ours,
    for however long his life should span.

    With each and every kiss,
    Our love for Dane grows strong.
    Yet, Father waits at Heaven's gate,
    If our babe should find Life too long.

    Until that time, we watch over Dane,
    Love filling our eager hearts.
    .Looking to Heaven to welcome him,
    If on angel's wings he should depart.

    This brought one of my nephews to mind. Chad was with us for five days, but I know for a fact that my family will see him again. This was beautifully written. Thank you.

    This poem brought to mind my son Lucian. I could only hope that in time the words of this poem hold true should I ever loose him. Beautifully written.

    Baby Dane was born 6/8/04. He waas born with transpsitiono of thegreater vessels of the heart. had a 6 hour surgery at one week of age and is now in glorious good health
