    One Blood

I see people Black and White, Red and Yellow, young and old, big and small.
Longing for some truth in their lives.
Needing to feel a void and to heed God's call.
It all started back then in the Garden of Eden.
    Satan told the first lie.
Eve listened giving birth to sin.
Adam prim and proper could have stopped it all then.
By shunning his wife's antics but instead he gave in.
Birth to rebellion changed the whole entire state.
People now live in fear, lust, and then die regardless of our race.
Each and every one of us has the same red blood.
Christ shed his as a ransom sacrifice.
As beckoned from his heavenly father above.
Don't think you're better off or that you're less than someone else.
God has a master plan that needs no figuring out.
It is written and preserved in the pages of the Bible.
Seek prayer and quidance from the one with the title.
His title is LORD and he is the king of all kings.
Listen to his voice and follow after him.
His title is SHEPARD of the lonely and lost sheep.
Pour out your heart to him while his hands are within reach.
His title is MESSIAH who is held up high.
Praise him and worship him and he will be your guide.
His title is TEACHER of anyone who will listen with an ear to lend.
He will bless you and annoint and into the world he will send.
We are one race and one blood in the eyes of our God.
He is watching you and continually blessing you from way up high.
Let him reach out to you and pour down his spirit.
Connect with him in communion and be sure not to miss it.
Although Adam and Eve gave man a measure of lost hope.
God knows what is best by telling us never to worry, gripe, or grope.
We are given a choice and all live under his free will.
Not to be taken lightly because God is the master of skills.
Look at the universe and all his majesty around us.
Bend your knees when you pray.
For God so loved the world he gave his only son, Christ, to save us.
    AMEN

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
