    Parting...

     How many nights
    I've lain awake,
    wondering how much
    more my soul can take...

    Nights of tossing,
    oh the turning,
    filled with such wishes,
    lost in my yearning...

    Of what never was,
    what could suddenly be,
    a life without chains,
    a life where I could be me...

    But then I see you,
    and know in my heart,
    that as much as I dispair,
    with you,
                    I can never
                                        part...

    Sounds like a rough night. But, part you can. ~~~~~ I like the rhyme and flow to this one.
