Perfect Mates or Perfections

Is this man or women right for me,
Or will it take years to see.
What was so oblivious at first sight.
Reminds me that nothing grows over night.

Yet a single seed has the entire DNA.
So does the human cell that is in play.
Why then do we put our instincts to doubt?
Initially red flags flew all about.
I noticed the bad, I packed it all away.
Blinded by love the goodness stay.

Bad things change if he loves me too?
What a shock it was when dreams fell through.
Accept me as I am said they.
Good sex, wasn't just a roll in the hay?
It felt like love for me that day.

Honey it’s the way life is you say.
If it’s me you trust, we’ll find our way.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
It sounds familiar, leaves us chained.
Word and phases same old cliché.

Perfect love is filled with persuasion.
Short-term happiness is not an invasion.
There I totter, limp- laxly I stay.
It's being Trapped on an uncomely plateau.
I was so choked on whatever’s the word.
I consider this my lifelong grudge.

A complicated platitudinous Plateau,
you say weigh, possibility of perfection today.
Persuasion frayed the cause to and fro.
The friction is whatever you say or wherever you go.
Interlaced by desires of the upper Class,
Perfect love is a sinuous spiral, or circular course.

Seeking true love is the gravitational force
Selfish pleasure is the ultimate source,
Infantile behavior deprived of sight,
In Childhood, family is a private security force.
Hindering the forward motion, there they are,
It’s the arrogant called perfection,
That fails to adjourn the motion.

When deprived of sight, perfection is
A conditioned emotion, a superstitious notion,
A confused movement, a disturbance,
The exit is as large hole in the ocean.
Somewhere in the world there’s a magnetic line.
A force of nature wanting perfections,
Because it feels a little wearied.

Perfection lacks originality,
The human spirit lives on, 'Cause,
I'm getting real tired, looking for perfection.
Everybody sells me something, but always there are exceptions,
Deeply rooted by my beliefs and long-term conditioning,
A perfect mate is one of the biggest misconceptions.

Your perfect mate may be my dejection or
Maybe it's one of the best decisions ever make.
Think back to when you were a child.
Who brought magic into your life?

There lies perfection just for you.
Take this advise, yet is not conclusive.
The judgment isn’t final, human spirit spawns along.
Weather I find a Perfect mate or not.
Long-term relationships are elusive and obtrusive.

Wow do I like this. You really made me think. I rush so blindly into situations. thanks goodness I'm not one of those rich ladies who gives her fortune to the unseen internet lover. This was sooo good. You had prose and rhyme in one piece. great work.

Thank you so much I fear that I am stealing from my own life as I attempt to expressions, passion, longings and real life in my poems. We have to notice the red flags...

A good poem and well written, I like the flow of words and the question that is addressed.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
