    Poem Commentary

    This poem is based on a friend of mine when she had to perform for solo and ensamble contest for high school.

    Performing on Stage

    I'm on stage, the feeling of uneasiness comes to my stomach.
    I get nervous, not able to sing on stage.
    As I wait for my name to be said to come on the stage I take a deep breath.
    I tell myself to stay calm as I perform.
    I heard my name, I come to the stage to perform.
    As I sing I see the audience dazzled by my voice.
    They stared at me like I had a voice of an angel that was delivered from Heaven.
    As I finished the song the audience raised out of there seats for a standing ovation.

    Very nice. I loved some of the words you used. I did notice that you tended to repeat yourself. Maybe look into finding new ways of saying the same thing, so that the reader doesn't feel... redundant. Beautifully written. I enjoyed it greatly. Good job.
