My Name is James and I began writing after my best friend who I'd known for 22 years committed suicide on Nov 22, 1993. Afterwards I became obcessed with Jim Morrison and began writing poetry. I stored the poems in a folder and after a couple years noticed I had written over a 100. This is when I decided to create a book in order to keep a promise I made to Bill at his funeral. In 2005 I discovered self-publishing and although I knew nothing about publishing, I had the first book in my hands that year. Today I have 10 books and my poems have been read by people across the world. Although I really haven't sold many books, I've gave away many to people suffering or hurting because that's why I write them. To help any who have felt like Bill or for that matter, myself at times. And over the years I have recieved many e-mails from people thanking both Bill and me for those words helping them past emotions and situations they were going through. Imagine that, people thanking a guy whose been dead for years. It seems I kept my word to Bill that his life would continue to have a purpose past that day he was buried. So I want to Thank all who read the poems I have posted here from these books.
