I feel that I am an elder stateswoman here. I have been writing poetry since the age of 9 yrs. and it has gotten me through many very difficult times. I am a grandmother of two beautiful girls and hope that at least one of them takes to poetry along with music. I find since they have come into my life I write more for them than anything else. Of course we all write in the cycles of life we are in at the time and I hope to be able to relate to others' poetry and get to know fellow members here.
