    Poets Against War

    He once was a child

    then no more

    He grew to a man

    and went off to war

    He saw death, tyranny, oppression, sorrow, pain, killing and more

    His life forever changed by the senselessness of war

    He now has a voice

    and one message to the world

    He will never be silenced

    He is a poet against war

    Interesting that the man comes back as a poet against war; especially they don't get drafted except if they were in the reserves. I do hope that this special poet gains momentum in this big job he is now undertaking; and doesn't meet up with too much resistance. It seems discussions about war and religion never end in harmony.

    I know my comment was lame but you know what I have such a hard time with this subject...your right 'war is so sad an event'..there is no definitive way or excuse because wars make our creator cry for those that die and those that lose loved wons from these cruel never ending wars...ty

    Even though I have great respect for all of the soldiers that fight to defend this great country,I am strongly against war. I feel that when people can't sit down and work out their differences peacefully then they have failed on all levels.As bluewolf so aptly said it sometimes people misdirect their protest of the act of war and aim their anger at the soldiers,who didn't start the war.They are just trying to do their job to protect this country. We should give them thanks and praise and constantly pray for a quick and peaceful end to war,so that they may return safely to their families and a normal life.This is an excellent poem and expresses similar ideas to my poem,"The Costs Of War". This poem has good wording and expresses an important and timeless message that all of mankind needs to hear.
