Prayer
Rising in the morning
a new day to remember
‘tis a continuation
of every day in time.
What lies ahead
only God knows, so far
surprises through events
a clarion call of vigilance.
Prayer of thanksgiving
each morning of the day
a great foundation –
to persevere and be faithful.
Evil forces intervene
dim the right path
when weakness prevails
and be conquered by them.
At the heart of them all
prayer, in its powerful way
rooted in profound immersion
holiness in life; a real picture.
