    queen of denial

    not a hectic scene
    or a blast of buzz
    can banish your streamline dreams
    it could cost you anything
not a better place in mind
    it's always your time
toes crunched up in those shoes
    be sure not to cast
    an insecure glance
heaven forbid you'd fall on your face
    and you wouldn't want that
no you wouldn't want that in lace

    honey dippings
    with sweet sweet glory
is sure to attract some bees
    and you'll never let up
no you'll never give in to these
to those who know that road
    to be trampled to death
    it's always their excuse
    and with that in mind
    you can sleep with daisies
    you love your daisies
    your pillow
    in some conceited bliss

    queen of denial
    line up your pretties
    and keep them pretty
so you can slice your pie
    with a better knife
so you can spend your time
    without a fight
and you always hope so baby
with a pot of gold imprisoned in your mind
    but you can try
    because you will try
    until you die

    Even if the world
    swallowed you whole
    you would shine your pedestal
    everyone is a shark
    a mean mean shark
    and that's how you play
    and replay

I like this one...I give it a 10 also..not sure why it's stuck on "8"...but you have a great way of putting things!

I'm giving it a "10" Wow I like this one.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
