     I'm Back Trackin                                                                             Gotta Find what my love was lackin                                                     I'm Back Trackin                                                                             To find the weak linkwhere my love was slackin                                   We were the perfect lovers                                                                The model couple admired and adored by so many others                   We had the passion and deep respect that the world has long dreamed of                                                                                                  we never has to worry about quarrels and fights because our heart were so full of love                                                                                 I'm Back Trackin                                                                            Gotta Find what my love was lackin

    To find the weak link where my love was slackin
    Then came a sudden change
    Like a sunny day when you're caught in the rain
    The building blocks within our hearts
    Were broken and jolted apart
    I'm Back Trackin

    We did all we could to place the pieces back together
    I was harder the more we tried
    Maybe it was our fate I just can't figure out why?

    I like the "Back Trackin" lyrics of this poem very much. I can see this poem in a western song. A lot of people back track their lost loves hoping to find where things went wrong. When the right two hearts meet, the right two will be forever. Nice words, Annamae

    I like this, we spend time back-tracking, but never find that elusive spot where the roads parted. I like the flow of your poem, lyrical, would love to hear it sung!

    You certainly have a unique lyrical style and format ....... It's very interesting and entertaining! Not exactly the same as Don Ho ..... lol I used to live on the island of Oahu, many moons ago! I'll always remember that song - Sukiyaki? I know they altered the translation - but it's always been one of my sentimental favorites
