Poem Commentary

Don your poetry berets, lol! Lost continents were the inspiration for this one. It's in the vein of For Summer Isles, though different enough I think, and longer! And, of course, enjoy!

Straft Dir ~

"Aquafire"

The first horizon is a grassy edge
The daring blades so absent of a care
It's a mile down, the loneliest ledge
And never a fence, none required there.

The next horizon is the sacred sea
The realm of tempests, the realm of realms
The saline being of futures to be
And there the islands are the crystal helms.

The third horizon is the atmosphere
The sea winds come and go in strange delay
There the stars reside and resonate clear
Dreams begin there and remember today.

The next horizon is the ancient sun
A cosmic fire for the cold planets
The heart of the system, the heart of one
As the solar skies maintain their exits.

The first horizon is a galaxy
There the dimensions collide and divide
There the destinies are the ecstasy
For as long as timelessness will abide.

I used to describe the moon, as exit of the night. I enjoyed your 5 horizon. Great Work, Stardrift.

Thank you, Gwoo, lol! That is an interesting similarity with the exit element then. I'll read more of your ruminations. Heartlight!

A mind expansion prod, getting us to consider beyond the unspoken "lost" horizon, for there never is a last one. Harv

Thank you very much, Tomsson. I'm ok with infinite new ones - as long as it isn't due to amnesia! : ) Spirit bless.

This prose takes me away to another place. It's sort of otherworldly, if you know what I mean. Ethereal in many aspects. I love that ittransports me when I read it. Great Writing!

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
