    "CAN'T MISS A FRIEND, YOU NEVER HAD!"

    Are you looking for "friends", in a strange "new town"?
    You feel "lost" and "lonely",,,,,and just a bit down?
    get out there and mingle, walk tall with a smile!
    And believe it or not,,you'll "connect"in awhile!
    Go up, give a handshake, and give them your name,
    If they like you enough,,they'll greet you the same.

    Just "becareful" and "watchful"of what you might find,
    For people today,,are not of your "kind".
    This world's turned to "crazys"! "users"and such,
    I'm not saying they "all"are,,,,,,,that'd be a bit much!

    "JUST KEEP IT REAL",,,let "them", play along,
    "you'll know what i mean"at that time you'll be strong.
    just"beware" my friend, for there's others that lurk,
    Even "new" places......there's always a "jerk"!

    "Be Cautious", of "those"you feel any "doubt"
    It could be your "inner self".........saying back out!
    They're usually in"threes"and come off as if "COOL"
    THEY'LL, offer their "friendship"in a group they call "CRUEL".
    In a period of time, they'll make "you" look "the fool"


    YOU COVERED THEIR BACKS, YOU DID WHAT WAS TOLD,YOU TRIED ALL THEIR DRUGS,AND YOU LET YOUR JOB "FOLD",

    So now "you're" left feeling "stupid", lost "all" that you had,
    Was it really that worth it to "just fit in"?you had the choice of two options, but "for them" you choice bad!
    Don't come "down" on yourself! we "all" make mistakes!
    Just pick up your "loses"don't look for no "breaks"!

    you've learned quite a "lesson" my friend, i must say,
    it's"sad" "all" you had was just thrown away.
    i tried to "help" you, but you moved way too "fast"!
    but tomorrow's your "future", as today will be "past!

    A good poem. would work on capitalization. Great message though. Thanks for the warning. Write on....

    Awe, a very sad, yet poinient tale of the harshness of the streets, and the dark side of human nature... While the whole setting is a sad portrayal of how bad life can be for some, it's a good thing that from the ugliness came a lesson learned in the wisdom of choices made... Good write...

    A very nice poetic sttory of how friends can lead to your downfall if they are the wrong kind of friends.
