    Poem Commentary

    Written December 11, 1984.  In our first apatment.  With my new love on my mind, and love in my heart. 

    "That Feeling"

     A talk all night
    after a fright.
    A walk in the park,
    to park after dark.
    That's the feeling.

    To love in the med,
    A pepsi instead.
    Cold feet in a warm bed,
    with hot thighs
    and loving eyes.
    That's the feeling.

    Eating microwave pop pies,
    going for long drives,
    looking but not seeing.
    That's the feeling.

    They're always there,
    to show me you care.
    The shiver and the stare,
    the smile, you know where.
    Nope, seeing
    ain't believing,
    You gotta have that feeling!

    Love is bliss, you know it when you feel it deep in your heart. "Cold feet in a warm bed" .. great lines, great write.
