"The Essence of the Black Woman"

    She's full of beauty,
    With a hint of grace.
    Her style is original,
No one can take her place.
    The black woman is today,
    She is also tomorrow.
    Looking to bring joy,
    While filled with much sorrow.
    A beautiful african queen,
Who sits high upon her throne.
    Planting her seeds of knowledge,
In the place she calls home.
    Some judge her wavy hair,
And the thickness of her lips.
    Never seeing into her mind,
Only the widness of her hips.
When you look at the "black woman,"
    Look into her soul.
    Judge not her outer appearance,
For she has a heart of gold!

I agree with every single word that you have stated in this. The black woman is often mistreated, and far too often viewed in the superficial aspect instead of seeing where her heart is, feeling her tenderness and compassion an the love that she exhibits even in the face of adversity. U get 1000+ from me Please come by and check out some of my work as well. Pea ce BLAS

I love the essence of the Black Woman. I am often inspird by their plight. I like your interpretation and inner vision.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
