    This poem is meant to open peoples eyes to see that if they try to take the easiest route to life they will find that they had a life that they didn't live. Their life will pass them by and what is left of them will never accomplish their true destiny. In all.. If you want to do something do it..

    "The Weary Traveler"

    The Weary Traveler"

    All alone again walking down the road less traveled
    Rocks and holes in the road cut and bruise his bare feet

    ..A lone wanderer in search for his place in this world..
    ..No friends..
    ..No faith..
    Only the clothes on his back and the destiny that awaits him

    As the days and nights fly by like the smell of honeysuckle in the spring
    ..He begins to imagine what life would be like..
    If he had followed his companions on the shortcut to forever

    He then comes upon a skeleton in the road
    ..But it isn't just a skeleton...
    It was one of the travelers that tried to make a short cut out of life

    As the weary traveler continues on his journey
    He finds the bones of all his companions in the same manner along the road
    Overcome by reality the man begins to see a bright light in the distance
    ..Only to find..
    ..He was already dead..

    I like the focus on this poem. The rythym helps to bring the thoughts alive in the reader. Good stuff.

    Death on earth good analogy. I believe more like Hell on earth what an interesting story great metaphors and similes in this poem I enjoyed reading.
