    Rapture
    Her picture,
    shows her eyes allure,
    her smile is still
    my rapture.
    In twilight frost,
    her presence there all
    framed in sterling silver,
    to hold me now as colors are lost,
    yet gentle is her promise.
    I find her here
    when I need her near,
    when her I miss,
    for she my soul does capture.

    The simplicity of this poem is fantastic. So simple that it makes it a joy to read - an easy flowing tribute to you're loved one. Great write Grito! Ken

    my favorite thing about this piece ... is that you keep to the universal ... "Her picture" is as concrete as it gets ... and from there, this speaks to all, for who doesn't have such a picture, and such a frame? hair color - not important; "gentle is her / promise." - important :) thx for another beautiful post!
