    Poem Commentary

    i was thinking of THE CROW when i wrote this and i thought that the crow may be a bird that represents death....but doesn't a raven also

    Raven

     black as the night
    and soft as cotton
    hidden upon the sky
    behind the moon
    a raven sores
    crying to the light
    and as the sky
    let's out a shower
    upon the weeping coffin
    the raven calls
    to the dead to rise
    once again
    like the crow before her
    the raven tells
    of murder's victim and
    of love so strong not
    even death could
    tare them apart
    so while the rain falls and the
    killers get justice
    only the raven cries for
    the last time
    that the dead will rise..
    no more.
