    Reaper

Is it you, I feel peering over my sholder once again
He who brings sorrow and pain
    Prevailer of doom and desolation
    Unending ancient Succubus
Why has my meager life drawn your attention
Have you not lost your grip on me thrice before
Come, I'll roll the dice with you yet again
To give answer to my unchanged luck

Grim as your countenance has forever been
You wish me to join the damned
With full knowldge, you try, knowing I belong to another
Has the lesson you learned from our previous encounters taught you nothing
The fierce heart beating within me cannot be captured in the tangled web you loose

Reaper set your gaze on another
Find easier prey, feed upon a lessor mortal
Council thyself against such a foolish endeavor
Glare as you will O' Death seek me not until the fire's tounge lick my dancing feet
Take your menacing grip and clutch those who made your list
    Bother me no more..............

I had to wrestle with death 3 times so far in this life. thought i would tell him to lay off for a while.

Very clear and descriptive capturing death's greedy grip on us all! Fantastic read! M-Robb

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
