    Recoil

    Bludgeoning scars

    weep on endless screams.

    Sprawled across the ground,

    smeared in blood,

    my life grieves its own demise.

    Echoing silence

    reverberating in my soul.

    Resonating nothingness

    lost in eternity.

    Dreams of anguish.

    Consciousness crying.

    Alone I reminisce.

    Pouring from ancient gashes,

    my black tears fall from my eyes no more.

    Trembling limbs

    and quivering mind,

    I suffocate.

    Laying siege upon me,

    my memories are not extinguished.

    Agony returns.

    It beckons my name.

    I can no longer endure this

    or prevail over the past.
