Remembered Strength

Poem Commentary

A wonderful moment of remembering myself, of remembering my strength at a time when I felt very weak....

Remembered Strength

My heart crackled slowly
Then it broke open
Swiftly and steadily
Letting some hope in
The air danced with sparkles
Shimmering movement
Light-Being particles
This mood shows improvement
A Voice clear as quartz
Said to my soul,
"You're a writer, a singer, a dancer, a poet!"
"These things are true, and its time that you know it!"
My heart skipped a beat
And ego took over
Disregarded the Voice
But it now had more power
And pressed even louder
"You are all of the things you want to be,"
"Deny it no more, let everyone see"
"Don't be afraid to be what you be"
"Because that's the whole point,
"If you get what I mean"
And I stood there shaking
Tears streamed down my face
Couldn't believe it was happening
That this actually took place
But the Voice kept on talking
Reassuring and comforting
And I kept on smiling,
Crying and loving
Then a lightning bolt struck
Jolted me back to me
Where the hell had I been?
My heart filled with relief
For a glimpse of myself
As I know to be strong
That's hidden itself
Away for so long
"Oh, here I am!"
"Oh, hello! I missed you!"
"Me too!"
That's how it felt,
Falling in love
Again with myself
"I feel my strength"
I declared to the air
Over and over and over
"I FEEL MY STRENGTH!"
So incredible, a window opened
To a whole new experience
Of Myself
Thank you for reminding me of
Who I Be

An awakening, The giver of life, poured your life back, this is a cleansing poem, very remarkable. Refreshing, this helps me as well. I really love it. Let the voice be heard..

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
