Renewed Love

Poem Commentary

this is another poem i wrote about my reunion with my h.s. sweetheart. i kind of went to the core of my feelings, getting a little more provocative than normal, but it works.

Renewed Love

The touch of your hair, the taste of your skin,
those things i so long to savor again.
The heat of your touch, your fingers so soft;
two things that so easily carry me aloft.
The sexiness in the tone of your voice;
your moans, your sighs, they leave me no choice
but to want you, need you, hold you so close.
You're my personal drug, and i need a good dose
of the one thing in life i can never replace.
And my eyes, closed or open, still show me your face.
A lover like no one I've known in my life;
a woman, a mother, my girlfriend, my wife?
The scent of your sex stokes the fires inside
as all over your body, I let my tongue glide.
To make love to you now, our souls again become one,
would cement our old love, like it has just begun.

This is very nice and very tastefully done..she must be very flattered, to be loved like that...I love that she is your drug, if only more people would make each other their vices, what great shape our lives would be in...

i enjoyed almost every line

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
