Poem Commentary

Reassurances don't always require spoken words - only meditation.

Returning

RETURNING

I search for my strength,

            and there You are.

Here I am,

            wanting to let go.

Comfortably naked.

            Here You are.

There I am.

I search for myself,

            and there You are.

You come near

            and I become absent

Vaporized, morphed.

            Here we are.

There I am.

I search for You,

            and there You are

Here I am.

            Connected again.

A piece of one whole.

            Here we are.

Here we are.

The golden beauty of silence surrounded you during this vulnerable time. Strength arrives through much meditation and patience. An exquisitely fluid write.

simple and beautiful in being so...the tempo allows you to flow when reading and i like the full circle the poem goes into...leaves room for self interpretation.nice

And extremely well written poem Jean. Why not "here we are/ where we are." But the marvelous ghostly presence as the changing of time takes place within the depth of your poem is truly a spectacular event to experience when reading through your poem. It is almost like a shape shifter in presentation. // A poet friend// RH peat

ah, Jean, i love this! a lyrical exploration of connection ... you take us from "I" to "We" in a ... almost wave-like rhythm ... thx for the post!

What is given when we seek our source... :) I am grateful.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
