    • I once knew everything, and now I know nothing.

    Ripped and Ragged

    To every broken boy,
    Every last night's mistake.
For those who came before you, long lines of long lives never to be told by my hands.
Hands that have never given love the way it was meant to be given.
But sheltered and molded into something dirty.
Given the way kisses give way to violent sex
The way holding you holds me down,
Tied to your bed, your body your soul
    Left for dead
Feeling every bruise on pale skin
Wondering if this is love, then maybe death will hold me
    Not just hold me down
Hot breath on my face brings me back
    Hands around my throat
    Hands around my soul
I am fading away into the light,
    Brilliant and white
    purifying
    like the ocean
    like the drugs
    like the violence
    I am innocent again
    before time stops
And you breathe me back to life.

I relate quite well to this. I was married to an addict. He was addicted to drugs...and I to him. What a vicious cycle it is. I like the pace of this piece. It drives you....

As all seem to believe there is more to a relationship than sex. Anything else is purely lust. An interesting one for me to really handle as all I technically believe in is mating. The act of which we've given higher purpose to becasue of the possitive feelings which come out of it. But this seems to have no possitive feelings from the act only damage inflicted on the body and soul. Something supposedly said to be sacred seems to be defiled and wrong making the reader wish that the one the acts are harming will be able to die and have such horrendous acts put to an end. Love the work. Very dark but holds onto your audience with a gruesome yet heartfelt tone. DQ

the users being used, nobody geting what they need (which is LOVE) only getting what they want (the empty purge of lust) and it all adds up to more damage to the soul.....regrettalbe on all sides....well written

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
