    Rocky Shores

    Waves crash upon rocky shores.

Death rains upon my soul it pours.

    Breath’s teetering on God’s command.

Some day my life he will demand.

Soul in turmoil while lions roar.

Can’t seem to flee nor find the door.

Feet are moving but go no where.

Not waking from dream’s haunting fear.

You see my rage I stomp and pout.

My loneliness jades heart of doubt.

Stop the upheaval in my brain

Show me you are there, ease my pain.

Show me your strength just a small sign.

Hardships of life please be kind.

Be there throughout my life, don’t hide.

Today I need you by my side.

This is a wonderful prayer, request asked in earnest during one of those rocky times in life. The first two lines of your second stanza are perfection! I liked this a lot and it is going to my fav's..write on!

There are times when we cry out, "Where are you??" to God, searching for his presence. He is there, but we don't always see... Good write.

All I can say is Excellent! A great heart of diverse emotion and unbroken rhythm. I can read that you are a true believer, I sense no convenience in your expression. WE NEED HIM.

Moot sent me here to check out your poems. I like this one. It is mystical in a way, and never spells out exactly what it is that tears at you...which makes it special....................

This was very nicely written. Faith, is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. You convey your feelings very well, very openly. You manage to reach the reader. Great job!
