    My family at times tell me I'm very sentimental that's mainly why they say I'm a poet and how my nickname came about. Some say I'm too deep with thoughts and feeling and this write was one of those moments when people stare n wonder what in the world am I really saying or want. I just got inspired with my thoughts and this came out...

    SENTIMENTAL NOSTALGIA

    A minty scent hit the air

    memories of unconditional love

    hard emotional imagery to bear

    Yet thoughts linger nonstop

    Of years gone forever

    tears just flow down my face

    but also am smiling like a fool

    my mind waltz through time

    a difficult thing to do

    Knowing I can never go back.

    Or can I?

    I am older now

    But my heart keeps young

    Am I capable of giving myself

    like a child shows pure love

    some people are now gone

    but other stand in their place

    Then it hits me like lightning

    Its not all about me wanting

    are others souls willing

    are their hearts yearning

    or is it just silly old me

    with a sentimental nostalgia

    Inspiration at its best. I love this sentimental write Poett! It is always soothing to wish and dream of childhood because there isn't anything more pure than a kid. I love your heart and the way you look at things. Great write!
