Shade
I anguish we are as why I am to sayis the red and yellow orange array
of all I see in this fall's ephemeral parade
as blue sky colors breath the leaves display.
Svelte worlds strung of you do me dismay
as your veined course's touch chimes the bells
of my heart when nimble in the morning shade
wind frost scatters where soft clover dwells.
The sun rises on our reign of sleepy hollow
fraught in a scent of mint and ease of moss.
Where once my hope of you lay low and fallow
now steps our paths the season has so strewn to cross.
