    Shannon

I sat down to write a few words about the way I feel
I didn't expect a stranger to care my words were real
Now I sit in awe and wonder why you gave me the time
Where did you come from and why are you so kind
I surely didn't expect you to become my friend
I figured when I finished I'd just get to the end
Not only did you come into my life
you brought hundreds of strangers with you
You all brightened up my life
No fancy words or made up fancy worlds
Just a little info about a small town country girl
So if you ever feel your a laughing stock
Wait just a minute I need to stop the clock
Because Shannon you are so special to me
I'd be lost without you now and where would that leave me

very nice, about what a friend should be to each other, with care and understanding, compassion and hope

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
