    She Waits

Sitting in a corner with a smile on her face
Pretending to be so full of grace
Inside there's a storm raging on
Just listening to the ring of the telephone
    Deaf to every single word
Just wants to fly away like the birds
Just lost with nowhere to go
Weighing on I told you so's
Should she get up or let the chair turn to rust
While her broken heart turns to dust
She doesn't want to come along for the ride
It's to late now she's dead inside

sherri i've felt like this too many times to count......great way of expressing that feeling.........when you feel like a shell...............

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
