    Slow Burn

    I bring exotic flowers
    to lie at your feet
I am a slave for you

If I had a magic wand
    I would appear before you
    prepared to give you
    all that your heart desires

    If there were a void
at the center of every soul
You would be the only one
    who could fill the
    emptiness in me

    I wish we were
    high on a mountain
    under the moonlight
    as close to the sky
    as we can get

    Let me wrap these chains
    around you
    and our passion will burn
    like the stars
    forever in eternity

Sure makes a person wish you had that magic wand. Excellent write....10

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
