    Smirk

                                                    Smirk

I never forget the handsome smirk on your face when you lie

Your shaking hands make feminine moves to emphasize

Your hands cover half of your face or touch your nose

You are amazed of your own abilities to tell fables

I never forget the gorgeous smirk on your face when you lie

Your high-pitched voice qualify Opera grand

You could not reverse the play backwards on stage

You are impressed of your own wits to entertain

I never forget the magnificent smirk on your face when you lie

Your bulging eyes penetrate straight into your preys

    Overly gazing or avoiding contacting

You are convinced of your own power to overtake

I never forget the evil smirk on your face when you lie

Your long legs wrap around the chair

You display gesture saying you do not care

You are contented of your repeat success to escape

I never forget the famous smirk on your face when you lie

Your nervous body speaks languages in signs

    Hidden thumbs inside trouser’s pockets

You are pleased of best-kept secrets still up to you to keep

it sounds like that person doesn't get away with to many lies with you

The poem makes it obvious that lies cannot be concealed when body language gives the lie a face of its own.

Thanks, Hampton. Its a work in progress.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
