    Social Pack

    Try to move forward,
But seem to be falling back.
There's just no way for me
To get to the front of the social pack.
    See friends from the past
    Get ahead in line;
    However, I'm left discarded,
    Forgotten in Time.
    Left to myself,
    By family and friends,
    Seems that I'm at
    The very end
    Of the line
    And keep slippin' back.
    There's just no way
    To get back on track.
I just feel so out of whack!
If I could just get back
    To where I was
    Before my mind went black.
    I better start trying.
    There's no denying
I've got a lot of track
To cover before I get back
    On track.

Moving moving moving forward to take three steps back,, wondering if you are doing the right thing at the right moment but often looking more behind than forward. I enjoyed your expressive mood and the subject matter. Often to question why is to do or die - great job, write on!

nice rhythm and topic. Made me think of Golgotha...where are those friends and family? Hey, I don't even know him. Good description of an uncomfortable situation.

i wonder where you were. now i know coming up with . such agreat poem . loved it.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
