    Something For Me
     

    Bitten by disaster,

    jaded beyond belief.

    No one can reach you anymore.

    There's just way too much grief.

     

    Hanging out in hollow spaces,

    hoping for a cure.

    To your single-minded vagueness,

    that you cough up as a lure.

     

    Your ankle bracelet is a trophy

    for your pride and arrogance.

    Your lovers become thorns

    for pretended romance.

     

    Promises that you will be pure

    again you know you can't for sure.

    It's just a same 'ole song.

    One I can no longer endure.

     

    I am gone away now.

    Your last best hope for sanctity.

    Remember me, friend

    and don't expect to see me again.

     

    I've gone to retrieve something for me.

    I really like it. It really is hard to come up with fifty characters just so one can vote and not be redundant on every poem one rates!

    I agree, it's hard to come up with 50 characters of original perspective, each time. Sometimes I just wanna say, like wow or fantastic or something. Brilliant is a word I like to use sometimes. You don't always have to rate every poem. I sometimes just comment without leaving a rating. To me, it's less about the points system and more about what I can learn and exchange with the pother poets. Thanks for reading it.

    From the inside, out, one could consider your aspect as one who is so withdrawn after battling for control of emotion, that you are returning back to a point of sanity, to re-establish your personality. To do so, will take you away from your external circumstances in life, to search out what was left behind, while in a more lucid and content state of mind. Otherwise, you just need to get away from the shell of a relationship that is yours to maintain to pursue more rewarding engagements for your self. (How do you keep writing so creatively?)     Interesting write. While reading this, so many memories of times I tried to help someone kept filling my mind. There's a part of me that believes someone can be saved, and another that believes all your doing is delaying the inevitable. That said, it still doesn't stop me from trying. I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind while writing this, but it's what I saw. I always enjoy your writing.
