Sonnet 4 ~ Water

Poem Commentary

Sonnet 1
Sonnet 2
Sonnet 3

To the one whom this is written for: You are the water that quenches my land. Though, we are far apart, and your lands are naught but this water, with nothing to soak or dry out the water, soon I will be your sun, to dry up all the rain.

Sonnet 4 ~ Water

To view you as though a river flowing

A tinkling creek singing its pure call

So true, it cleanses all impurities

Oh those who bathe in its watery falls

But so much more, you are the lands around

Quenching the thirst of a drought too long felt

You are the rain that soaked the dried out grounds

Relieving the cough from a weary soul’s throat

It seem to over flow, drowning the place

Too long away, there is naught but water

Time trying to fade out your loving grace

Despite how we long to be together

But, Time shall never pull quite hard enough

For through all of this, we are still in love

Very well ordered words... i love the feeling that it gives off.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
