    Southern Wind

     Tonight the wind rides southward
    In the season of passion and glory
    Where hearts meet,
    Mingle, and then merge

    Angels above shy from judgment
    For only in the heart of youth
    Is this crime laden with
    A pure tender torch .

    Brief, quiet, soft moments are these
    When all the world's surroundings
    Falls to a subdued hush.
    Inside a burning bliss
    penetrates with a beckoned joy.
    A longing  is relit from
    A flame almost forgotten.

    As the parting rushes near
    So too denied emotions
    Erupt in these last moments.
    Here one's eyes dance,
    Reflecting within the others gaze,
    Long after theier final embrace,
    The two as one, are left
    With the the lasting savor of
    A wine that kissed two souls.
