    Struggle

     Will this struggle ever end
    or will it keep spinning at a 360 degree angle like the world
    i see my people homeless, lonely,
    my family don't know me
    Why? Why? Why?
    Why must we this struggle exist
    people ignore the truth
    dame ignorance is a bliss
    i cant sit back while i see my people in this struggle
    thinking about these kids, thinking about the hustle
    and how the rich get richer
    and the poor get poorer
    war gets deeper and deeper
    and the love gets lower and lower
    they say forgive but don't forget
    but how can i forgive, when i cant forget
    about this struggle in the projects
    and these kids growing up without a father
    i guess that's why they say
    that life aint fair
    either you rich or living on welfare
    I'm telling you it's hell here
    and lord i think i lost my faith
    because seeing this struggle
    on a sign i just cant wait
    I'm shedding tears, and all my fears
    are taking over my faith
    my tears just created a lake
    because you can see me crying, crying
    my people are crying crying
    the government keep on lying, lying
    and this is my life too
    but my people we will make through
    we will make it through

    In this land of supposed plenty, there are many who go without the most basic of necessitates. Here in Tennessee there are those who do without electricity, clothes, food and other things that many take for granted. Poverty impacts all of society without biases. Well read.

    I can feel your pain as I read this. My heart goes out to all the families who are struggling so hard but never seem to get anywhere, I my self included. Very good write. Koolmom0

    This is very good. I know what struggles life can throw at you, believe me, I do. And yes, this is a very hard time, country-wide, world-wide, and especially locally... You poem really gets to the point of that... I loved it. ~Audrey
