    Poem Commentary

On the road of life...there are twists...turns...and traffic jams. Enjoy if you will! :)

    "Stuck In Traffic"

    Stuck In Traffic

    Maybe I'm gone...
    Maybe I'm buried...
Maybe my philosophies have been married...

    to this life...

    or maybe they've been carried...

    on to the next one.

    Maybe I'm preparing...
    Maybe I'm staring...
    aimlessly into the air and...
wondering if I'll get there and...

bask in the paradise everyone quests to share in...

or maybe I'll hit rock bottom...
and stay till the bottom falls out...
then be bitten in half by hell's mouth.

    Maybe I'm burning...
    Maybe I'm churning...

but all the screaming in the world won't get the hell out...
I guess this is what happened when my light fell south.

    I'm back on the surface...
    maybe only scratching...
    my head at the possibilities...
    and what could happen.

    Maybe my antics...
    Maybe my actions...
are like pictures unrelated to captions...

    No explanations.

    Maybe I'm stirred...
    Maybe I'm shaken...
Maybe the room behind my eyes is vacant
Maybe I'm doomed...never to make it...

or maybe my soul...just can't take it.

    Maybe I'm not real...
    Maybe I'm just plastic...

    or porcelain...colored-glass eyes...and elastic.

Maybe I'll put it in drive...
    Maybe I'll crash it.

I'm sure this road to the other side's fantastic...

but before I can cruise...and take control of that last trip...
    I must realize that...

    for now...

    I'm stuck...

LOL!! jest play'n..what's not to totally dig 'bout this! We all feel treapped sometimes, we feel slow-motion, mundane, weighted- all of us..at times! This piece had my mind racing and as I was trying to wrap my thoughts around it, to take a mental picture and make sense of all that was happening - suddenly my synapses fired bright and the complexity of my interpretations took hold of your explanations of happenings. By the end, I saw a new beginning and was smiling with the revelation of your creativity!

Thank you so much soul...I am glad you liked it and I appreciate you stopping by and giving me a read as always. Cheers!

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
