    Sunday Morning
    Eyes gently awakened by 10 o'clock sun,
    mind groggily, reluctantly, following suit.
    A smile played across my lips
    as breakfast sounds dance about,
    finding humor in the
    broken eggs and nearly-spoiled milk.
    Comical attempts make me love my
    dysfunctional, fun,
    weird family,
    that even though its crazy on a Sunday morning
    with my best friend beside me in bed
    and the threat of Monday tomorrow,
    somehow,
    manages to work just fine.

    There's nothing like waking up on the weekend knowing you don't have work/school. Feeling refreshed after sleeping in a few extra hours. Nice poem.

    This reminds me a little of the Blue October song "Breakfast After 10". Not sure why, because they aren't similar at all... but I'm guessing it's just the 10 o'clock on a Sunday morning reference :) Regardless... this is fantastic. I'm a big fan of the phrase "My family puts the 'fun' in dysfunctional", so I connected with that part rather well. Nicely done.
