    Take Your Money

How can you say you love me
You promise to give me the world
    I never asked for anything
    Especially diamonds and pearls

You say you'll take care of me
    I never ask you to
Want to marry build me a home
It means nothing if I don't love you

    I appreciate your words
How much you say you care
    You'll be gone tomorrow
how can you love me if your never there

You can tell me what you want
You can promise to give me everything
    Don't feel pity for me
I don't need your wedding ring

I may be alone but I promise I'll be fine
I may not have much but I do have peace of mind
    So take your empty promises
Flash your money for someone else
Sorry honey I can't be bought
    Because I love myself

True, a good open poem, money actually ruins love, I like the rhymes, and theme. And it ends very good.

This is great, if we truly love ourselves then the next person can't hurt us . so many are lost when they get broke up in a relationship but if we know who we are and we are comfortable within ourselves then we can do nothing but....LOVE ourselves!!!!
